Don't know why, but some people get offended by the phrase "I don't give a rat's ass what you think"
Excuse me, It appears I don't fully comprehend you're approach to the problem

A more amplified version of the "I can do this", probably caused by an excessive amount of caffeine and/or alcohol (or whatever gets you high) mixed with an extra ordinary dose of naive childish momentary hope inspired by a Coelho's quote or a TV infomercial
