He couldn't flex his calves now, breathing got harder by the
second.
Soon water would reach his soul, it was too late.
Under the tree the beasts of the wilderness awaited to
devour his flesh, they couldn't reach him just yet. But it wasn't too long
before his corpse was thrown in a hole outside the city gates.
He closed his eyes.
Nobody cared. Why should they? He had nothing more to offer.
"Eli, Eli, lema sabachtani"
- He saved others, but he couldn't save
himself!
= He lost his eternity too
- He didn't deserve it; he was weak
= Aren't we all? It takes a single moment of weakness to do
so
- The one who endures to the end will be saved
"Eli, Eli, lema sabachtani"
He was going at one fifty kilometers per hour; or was it one
sixty.
He wanted to slow, but his foot had a mind of its own.
His eyebrows couldn't hold all the sweat on his forehead;
the road was barely visible now.
His heart pounded out of his chest, the lane was getting narrower.
Why did he have to drive? He had a train ticket just like
everybody else; but he returned it.
"Eli, Eli, lema sabachtani"
